Wet Sheep provides facilities for booking, promotion, design, logistics and other services for traveling artists in Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands with the goal of streamlining costs while creating a stronger network and partnership between artists in Scandinavia.
The model of the music industry has changed drastically over the past decade and mostly for the worse with regards to touring bands/artists. Clubs and promoters have less cash flow while travel expenses and restrictions have increased dramatically. Most indie- or small-label artists are lucky to break even on a tour.
Based in Oslo, Wet Sheep helps a number of artists streamline tour costs by providing private lodging, cheaper equipment rental solutions, booking and promotion support, stage technicians and other logistical solutions. Once a relationship is established, other artists are expected to open their homes to traveling artists from other countries and the favour is returned whenever possible. We have over 10 years experience working with artists we believe in from Iceland, Norway, the Faroe Islands and U.S.A.
There needs to be a higher level of awareness, communication and cultural exchange between these countries and that is Wet Sheep's ultimate goal.
